The vision and direction for the future of the bank comes from the directors and officers. Though the directors are not usually seen, these individuals are local people who have spent their lives living and working in this area. They fully understand the challenges that southwestern Kansas residents endure, but more importantly, they also know the rewards that we have come to love.

Since chartering in 1985, we have been able to grow with the community. We have tried to adapt to the ever-changing financial environment to fulfill your financial needs, and since the late 1980's we have been the largest lender in Morton County. This, of course, has only been possible through your dedicated patronage. Below are a few of the milestones that the bank has accomplished.

FIRST NATIONAL BANK
Milestones

January 2, 1985
Opened First National Bank of Elkhart.

March 1986
Received our first A+ rating by Sheshunoff, the leading bank rating company.

August 1986
Passed $10 million mark in total assets.

June 1990
Issued ATM cards allowing our customers access to nation wide Automatic Teller Machine system.

September 1990
Opened First National Bank facilities in Rolla.

March 16, 1992
Opened new facility in Elkhart.

January 5, 1994
Opened First National Bank Investment Department.

1995
Express Phone Banking made available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

March 1998
Became only locally owned Chartered Bank in Morton County.

May 1998
Passed $40 million mark in total assets.

2002
Addition of Internet Banking.
